Letter from Paul to Franz Lefmann, 25 April 1916
“France, 25 April 1916
Dear Papa,
Yesterday, the Hamburg Committee for War Libraries sent seven enormous parcels. I am practically digging through literature. Hamburg has once again shown itself from its noble side. This morning I was already looking for a new bookshelf.
Just these few lines for today, as you can imagine, I am up to my ears in work.
Warm greetings,
Your Paul.”
